After being raised in various sectional title schemes, Zerlinda pursued her passion for law, graduating from the University of Stellenbosch with her BA LLB LLM (Cum Laude) degrees. While completing her LLM thesis, specifically focused on the Constitutionality of Sectional Title Rules, Zerlinda undertook a comparative study of Strata Title in Melbourne, Australia. During her studies, Zerlinda worked as a research intern for the South African Research Chair in Property Law and contributed towards various Property Law, Neighbour Law and Sectional Title Juta publications. Zerlinda is also a member of Golden Key, international honours society as a top academic achiever in her respective fields of study. 

After graduating, Zerlinda joined Pam Golding Property Management Services as a managing agent. Leaving the trenches, Zerlinda joined the sectional title department of Biccari Bollo Mariano Attorneys with Marina Constas. After the completion of her Articles and admission as attorney of the High Court, Zerlinda joined Professor Graham Paddock at Paddocks providing legal advice and training to the industry. After a return to property management, Zerlinda co-founded TVDM Consultants, where her practical experience allows her to continue making a mark in the community schemes industry.

Zerlinda is one of the founding members of the Let’s Get Physical events, where a group of industry experts travel around the country presenting on various topics relating to community schemes.

Zerlinda is also a regular on the CapeTalk 567 community schemes segment, and continues to write publications for LexisNexis. 

As trustee, investor owner and resident in various types of community schemes, Zerlinda lives and breathes all aspects of community schemes living, including owning too many barking dogs and raising her own community schemes kid.
