Nicole joined our team at the start of 2021 after finishing up her LLB at Stellenbosch University, where in the final year of her degree, Nicole worked as a research intern for the South African Research Chair in Property Law (“SARCPL”), where her research contributed towards various Property Law Juta publications. After graduating, she went on to complete an Advanced Diploma in Corporate and Securities Law through UNISA with distinction. Nicole recently completed the SA Legal Academy mediation course.

Since working at TVDM Consultants, Nicole has been published several times in the LexisNexis Property Digest Journal and at the end of 2023, Nicole completed her LLM at Stellenbosch University, focusing on comparative apartment ownership, advanced company law, mediation, and specialised dispute resolution techniques. Nicole also obtained a distinction for her LLM Dissertation, "A critical analysis of the Community Schemes Ombud Service (“CSOS”) Act 9 of 2011: How dispute resolution in South African community schemes can be developed further and improved," which she completed under the supervision of Prof. C.G van der Merwe.  

Nicole's favourite community scheme topics include pets, solar panel installation and the drafting of management and conduct rules. Nicole is especially passionate about all matters relating to the CSOS, and works towards a better dispute resolution forum for community scheme stakeholders every day.
